The Enemy Trap follows Sophia and Hayes, two childhood friends turned enemies. The two find themselves suddenly thrust into something they werenβt expecting when one drunken night ends with Sophia pregnant with Hayes child. Now the two of them must learn to navigate this new relationship that they find themselves in and let me tell you, it was so. cute. seeing it.
While I enjoyed Sophias character for the most part I will say Hayes steals the show. He is so sweet and adorable when it comes to Sophia and the baby and it was just *squeee* too cute to handle. I love how Maren handled the transition between the two from enemies to lovers. Sometimes it can feel weird and rushed but this was the perfect flow.
This was overall a super cute romcom where you canβt help but root for the two main characters. The banter was A+ and you could really feel the chemistry between the two. Iβm giving this a 4 out of 5 starsβοΈ the perfect book for when youβre wanting a feel-good read.
