This was a captivating read!

I was first drawn in by the cover, so pretty! The world is intricate and fun to get lost in! We start out with a bit of background on Emorys parents and the political rift going on. Then flash forward to Emory at the Academy, a school for those with special abilities. I really liked all the characters in this and it was enjoyable watching their growth as the story progressed. I wasnt the biggest fan of the romance part though. I just didnt feel the click between the 2🤷‍♀️

There is plenty of action, some romance, cool magic, and fun fantasy that make an enjoyable read. Overall, I liked the book and will be looking out for the next in the series.
